Not at all. Most of our groups are complete beginners. We use pre-made characters, keep the rules light, and the DM guides everyone through their turns — no homework required.
One-shots and birthdays typically work best with 4–8 players. Campaigns and weddings can flex around that depending on the format. Corporate events can scale to larger groups by running multiple tables. Let us know your numbers and we'll advise.
A custom-written session, character sheets, dice, maps and props for the game itself, and the DM's time running it. Venue hire, catering and decor are not included but we're happy to advise or coordinate if you'd like extra planning support.
We run in-person sessions across Kent — at your home, a venue you've booked, or a suitable space we help you find. We also have our own dedicated space, fully kitted out with sound, lighting and physical terrain for a proper tabletop atmosphere. Travel outside Kent and online sessions can be arranged on request.
One-shots typically run 3–4 hours. Campaign sessions run 4–6 hours. Wedding-tied events vary depending on the story — we'll agree a schedule with you upfront.
For one-shots and birthdays, 4–6 weeks' notice gives us time to write a session tailored to your group. Campaigns and weddings, being multi-stage, benefit from longer lead times — the earlier we can talk, the better we can plan around your dates.
Yes, from age 10 upwards. Let us know ages when you enquire and we'll tailor tone, content and complexity accordingly.
We use Lines and Veils, a well-established tabletop safety tool. Before every session we ask the group for Lines (topics that won't appear in the story at all) and Veils (topics that can happen in the story but fade to black rather than being played out in detail). It means everyone at the table — including complete newcomers — feels comfortable from the first roll. You can read more about Lines and Veils here.
Great — tell us about them. We're happy to build a session around existing characters, homebrew worlds, or a favourite published setting rather than starting from scratch.
